Get Better With These Lists

Looking for some daily and weekly challenges for self improvement. Try these out. I feel better just reading them.

DAILY TO DO LIST

  1. Do one thing that you don’t want to do but know you should.
  2. Learn something new.
  3. Get better at something.
  4. Give thanks for one thing.
  5. Read something of worth. Even if only for a few minutes.
  6. Wake up the first time your alarm goes off.
  7. Wake up and tell yourself today is going to be a great day.
  8. Go to bed and tell yourself today was a good day. Tomorrow will be the same.
  9. Find the humor in an otherwise not so funny situation. Laugh at it.
  10. Do something you enjoy.
  11. Do something active.
  12. Meditate on one positive thought for one minute.
  13. Clear your mind of everything and focus only on your breathing for one minute.
  14. Drink as much water as you can in one sitting.
  15. Eat a vegetable.
  16. Eat a fruit.
  17. Prepare yourself something to eat. Actually prepare it, not just open it.
  18. Do something in regards to religion. Pray, read the bible, read about another religion, go to church, etc.
  19. Stretch one muscle for 30 seconds.
  20. Contact someone you care about even, or especially, if you haven’t heard from them in awhile. Text, email, call, anything just to say hi.
  21. Take a 20 minute power nap. No longer.
  22. Take a moment to observe nature. The snow, rain, or sunshine. Changing seasons. The wind. A bird or squirrel.
  23. Do one random act of kindness.
  24. Catch one negative thought and change it to a positive one. Write it down.
  25. Compliment yourself for something done well.

WEEKLY TO DO or NOT TO DO LIST

  1. No sugar one day a week.
  2. No caffeine one day a week.
  3. Fast one day a week. Drink only water and juices.
  4. Go to church one day a week. Even if you’re not religious or don’t believe.
  5. No TV one day a week.
  6. No computer use one day a week. Except for necessity (email, school, work).
  7. Get up one hour early one day a week.
  8. Go to bed one hour earlier one day a week.
  9. Completely and thoroughly clean something one day a week. Room, Car, Do all your laundry, etc.
  10. Do not swear one day a week.
