Looking for some daily and weekly challenges for self improvement. Try these out. I feel better just reading them.
DAILY TO DO LIST
- Do one thing that you don’t want to do but know you should.
- Learn something new.
- Get better at something.
- Give thanks for one thing.
- Read something of worth. Even if only for a few minutes.
- Wake up the first time your alarm goes off.
- Wake up and tell yourself today is going to be a great day.
- Go to bed and tell yourself today was a good day. Tomorrow will be the same.
- Find the humor in an otherwise not so funny situation. Laugh at it.
- Do something you enjoy.
- Do something active.
- Meditate on one positive thought for one minute.
- Clear your mind of everything and focus only on your breathing for one minute.
- Drink as much water as you can in one sitting.
- Eat a vegetable.
- Eat a fruit.
- Prepare yourself something to eat. Actually prepare it, not just open it.
- Do something in regards to religion. Pray, read the bible, read about another religion, go to church, etc.
- Stretch one muscle for 30 seconds.
- Contact someone you care about even, or especially, if you haven’t heard from them in awhile. Text, email, call, anything just to say hi.
- Take a 20 minute power nap. No longer.
- Take a moment to observe nature. The snow, rain, or sunshine. Changing seasons. The wind. A bird or squirrel.
- Do one random act of kindness.
- Catch one negative thought and change it to a positive one. Write it down.
- Compliment yourself for something done well.
WEEKLY TO DO or NOT TO DO LIST
- No sugar one day a week.
- No caffeine one day a week.
- Fast one day a week. Drink only water and juices.
- Go to church one day a week. Even if you’re not religious or don’t believe.
- No TV one day a week.
- No computer use one day a week. Except for necessity (email, school, work).
- Get up one hour early one day a week.
- Go to bed one hour earlier one day a week.
- Completely and thoroughly clean something one day a week. Room, Car, Do all your laundry, etc.
- Do not swear one day a week.
