Who am I?

I am a CHAMPION! This video is so awesome and the speech is even better. These are the beliefs that each of us needs to adhere to each and every day of our lives. Whether you are an elite athlete or a simple businessman. It doesn’t matter. We can all strive to be better. Too often people become content with their lives and circumstances. Today’s society has become soft and afraid of challenge. We fear being different. We shy away from challenge and adversity. Why? Are we scared of the potential failure? Or perhaps we are more fearful of the work.

Great things are possible. The supposed unattainable is attainable. Each of us must ask this simple question, “Who am I?”, and respond with the most truthful answer. One cannot lie to oneself. Only you know who you truly are. So who are you? What do you want? Are you a champion of your own life? Or do you simply wander through life aimlessly with no purpose or direction? In my opinion, this is a sad life to lead. I feel that it is our duty to stand for something greater than ourselves. Belief in a higher purpose. Then strive for this goal day in and day out. It doesn’t matter what it is. It can be anything. Win a state title. Lose weight. Gain weight. Quit smoking. Buy a house. Get a job. Whatever it is that you wish to do. Set goals and achieve them. Start with the simplest of ideas. Once you achieve it, then move on to something bigger. Soon you’ll have the confidence to dream of the outrageous. And this is what life is all about. Dream great. Be great.

Are you a champion or not? It is depressing to see how easily many of us our turned away from what we truly want. We face a little ridicule or adversity and we clamber back into our shells. We retreat into the the shelter of our safe, unchallenging, and monotonous lives. Think back to the dreams that you had as little kids. When none of us were afraid to think of the impossible and farfetched. The kid version of ourselves would be so disappointed in us. Not only are most of us not living our dreams but I would venture to say many have not even attempted or tried to do so. It is never too late. We are never too old. Being a victim of your circumstance is merely an excuse and an acceptance of defeat. It is admitting that you are too weak to make a change. This cannot be the truth.

Who am I? “I am a champion. A champion of my own life. I dictate what I have or don’t have. Who I am or who I am not.”

This is your montage. Figure out who you are and what you want. Then you need to find others with the same beliefs. This is the next part that today’s world is missing. Loyalty and dedication to our fellow man/woman. Family. Teamwork. A sense of togetherness is lacking because none of us have engaging enough dreams to bring us all together. This is why sports are so great. This is why people admire those in the military. You heard it in this video. They respect their comrades and draw strength from them. Each of them has bled, sweat, and cried together creating a bond that is inseparable and incomprehensible to those outside of their group. These types of relationships have gone missing in people. And it is because no one strains to do anything extraordinary. No one goes outside of their comfort zone. We have become a content and lazy society, sitting behind our computers and televisions as we live vicariously through the people we watch.

This is not how life was intended to be. Get out there. Live your life. Break free from the conformity to mediocrity. Attempt to do something out of the ordinary. It’s not even really about the achievement. It’s the journey and the effort that counts. Trust me, you’ll feel so much better and more alive just by trying. Make the effort. Earn your rewards. Make a purposeful aim to get better and improve. Each day brings another opportunity to improve. Don’t miss out on it. Every passing moment is a chance to turn it all around.

Who am I? I am a champion! We all have a champion inside of us. You simply have to believe what others have doubted (including yourself). Doubt is the ultimate leveler. It keeps us all on an even playing field. Doubt is our ceiling of limits. Remove all doubt and you eliminate all limits.

Who am I……..Who are you…….
